Opinion Polls

Our opinion polls use a structured methodology with high levels of automation, which allows us to have a high degree of confidence in the outcome. We ask a range of questions, including the popularity of leaders, the main issues in the election, and demographic voting preferences, which are all used to make seat projections.

Exit Polls

Exit polls on polling day use a targeted questionnaire with scientifically pre-selected polling booths to obtain a representative sample and make seat projections based on that sample. Exit polls provide a good indication of the mood of the public.

Post-Election Surveys

To better understand voting behavior and the reasons behind why voters chose specific parties and candidates, we conduct post-election polls by interviewing random voters via surveyors after the polling day.

Leaders and political parties positioning analysis

This is one of the Field Intelligence exercises which is conducted to gauge the popularity of leaders and parties, their perceptions among voters, and their current positioning for the upcoming elections.

Satisfaction with government and party leaders

The tracking of satisfaction with Central, State, and Local Body Governments, as well as with leaders such as the Prime Minister, Chief Minister, Member of Parliament, Member of the Legislative Assembly, and Mayor, is being conducted on the ground.

Key Issues Identification

This Field Intelligence exercise presents the clients with relevant issues, incidents, or raw information, along with the consequences of these, which can be used to create programs to solve the issues or take preventive measures to prevent them from occurring.

Impact Assessments

Impact assessment is another field intelligence exercise that examines the major impacts (positive and negative) of the delivery of public policies, any future or probable political decisions, defections, and the making and breaking of alliances.

Feedback Aggregation

This is a continuous exercise of tracking the collection of real-time feedback from voters on political campaigning and happenings. Feedback is collected from common voters, political party workers and other influencers like social activists and religious leaders.

Sentiment Analysis

Sentiment analysis is the process of detecting positive or negative sentiment in text. It’s often used to detect sentiment in social data, gauge politicians/party’s reputation, and understand voters.

Data Analytics

The Ringside Research analytics team has ushered in a new era in election polling in India by using historical electoral data and fusing it with socio-economic, demographic, and previous poll data to arrive at insights that could be as deep as booth-level analysis of previous results
